Support the installation and maintenance of fiber optic networks across Cyprus.
At Cablenet, we build and maintain the fiber optic networks that connect homes, businesses, and communities across Cyprus. As a Junior Fiber Optic Technician, you will support the installation, maintenance, and improvement of these networks as part of our technical team.
This is an opportunity to build practical experience in telecommunications while developing your technical skills. You will work alongside experienced technicians and engineers, gaining hands-on experience with fiber optic equipment, network installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
What you will do:
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot fiber optic networks in residential, commercial, and outdoor environments
- Perform fiber optic cable works, including splicing, testing, fault finding, and repairs
- Install and connect cables and network equipment in data rooms, cabinets, and other network locations, following technical specifications and established procedures
- Work closely with supervisors and engineers to identify and resolve technical issues and support the reliable operation of the network
- Use and maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment responsibly, keeping work areas clean, organised, and safe
- Follow health and safety procedures and technical standards while carrying out fieldwork
- Participate in the standby/on-call rotation when required
What we are looking for:
- Valid driving license, clean criminal record, and high school diploma – required
- Basic knowledge of fiber optic splicing and testing will be considered an advantage
- Previous experience working at height and a pole-climbing license will be considered an advantage
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional approach to work
- Problem-solving skills and a practical approach to technical challenges
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills in fiber optic networks
- Good command of Greek and English
