Maintenance Technician (TM7T826)

Job Description

Keep the infrastructure running.

Do you enjoy hands-on work, solving technical problems, and using your skills across electrical and mechanical systems?

As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll help keep Cablenet’s critical facilities and infrastructure operating reliably across Cyprus. You’ll work on electrical installations, generators, UPS systems, cooling equipment at data centres, PoPs, and roadside cabinets.

Most of your work will involve planned preventive and corrective maintenance, while unexpected issues will require your experience, judgement, and practical skills. Your work will help keep the infrastructure behind our services running reliably.

What you will do:

  • Keep things running. Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across Cyprus on electrical installations, generators, UPS systems, rectifiers, and cooling equipment. Make sure critical equipment is maintained, reliable, and ready when it is needed.
  • Look after critical sites. Monitor and support the operation of mechanical and electrical equipment across Cablenet’s critical premises, where reliability and continuity matter every day.
  • Find the fault. Diagnose electrical and mechanical problems, understand what is causing them, and carry out the appropriate repair or corrective action. When something goes wrong, you’ll be one of the people we rely on to get it working again.
  • Be there when it matters. Respond to emergencies and unplanned faults, including standby duties outside normal working hours. Stay calm, assess the situation, and take the practical steps needed to restore safe and reliable operation.
  • Work as one team. Coordinate with colleagues, engineers, contractors, and other teams to complete maintenance work safely, efficiently, and to the required standard. Share what you know and learn from the people around you.

You will succeed in this role if you have:

  • A valid Electrical Installation License and registration with the Electromechanical Services Department (EMSD).
  • A practical, hands-on approach and a genuine interest in understanding how equipment and systems work.
  • The ability to troubleshoot problems, work independently when required, and know when to ask for support.
  • A strong commitment to safety, quality, and doing the job properly.
  • Good knowledge of Greek and English.

It would be an advantage if you also have:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar maintenance role.
  • Experience working with telecommunications equipment.
  • Knowledge of security alarm systems and CCTV systems.

What we offer:

  • Competitive salary package – Earn €1350 gross/month, plus a 13th salary.
  • Performance-Based Bonus – Be recognized and rewarded for your contributions with a competitive performance bonus.
  • Generous Annual Leave – Enjoy up to 25 days of annual leave, giving you the time to rest, recharge, and focus on what matters most.
