Installation Technician Supervisor – Paphos (CSP5826)

Job Description

Lead the teams that connect homes and businesses across Cyprus.

At Cablenet, we believe great customer experiences start with great people. As an Installation Technician Supervisor, you will lead a team of skilled Installation Technicians, ensuring every installation is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

You’ll combine technical expertise with people leadership, supporting your team in the field while helping deliver the reliable connectivity that keeps customers connected every day.

What you will do:

  • Lead from the field. Lead, coach, and support a team of Installation Technicians, providing day-to-day guidance, technical expertise, and mentoring while building a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team culture.
  • Keep the day moving. Plan and coordinate daily field activities, allocate work across the team, monitor progress, and ensure installations are completed safely, efficiently, and within agreed service levels.
  • Be the go-to technical expert. Act as the first point of technical escalation for Installation Technicians, supporting the resolution of complex installation and network issues across DOCSIS, FTTH, and VULA technologies.
  • Get it right the first time. Maintain high standards of workmanship by carrying out quality inspections, identifying recurring issues, and implementing corrective actions that improve service quality and reduce repeat visits and rework.
  • Put safety first. Promote a strong health and safety culture by ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and safe working practices, and by making sure incidents and near misses are reported promptly.
  • Make sure the team has what it needs. Ensure Installation Technicians have the tools, equipment, vehicles, materials, and personal protective equipment required to perform their work effectively, while identifying and reporting any shortages, defects, or maintenance needs.
  • Make every installation count. Support the delivery of an outstanding customer experience by helping resolve customer concerns and ensuring every installation meets Cablenet’s quality and service standards.
  • Keep the team and performance on track. Monitor attendance, working hours, and leave requests, maintain accurate operational records, and provide regular updates on team performance, productivity, quality, and operational matters.
  • Build what’s better. Identify opportunities to improve processes, team performance, and operational efficiency, contributing to the continuous improvement of the Installation function.

You will succeed in this role if:

  • Technical diploma or degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience, combined with at least 5 years of experience in telecommunications or cable installation, including 1–2 years in a team lead or supervisory role.
  • Strong practical knowledge of HFC/DOCSIS network architecture, FTTH installation and fibre splicing/termination practices, and VULA provisioning.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex signal, connectivity, network, and equipment issues in the field.
  • Practical knowledge of installation tools and test equipment, including signal meters and OTDRs, as well as vehicle requirements and the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Previous experience working at height; a pole-climbing licence will be considered an advantage.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, motivate, and develop a technical field team.
  • Strong interpersonal, conflict-resolution, and mentoring skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
  • Excellent customer-facing communication skills, with the ability to manage and resolve escalated customer concerns professionally and effectively.
  • A valid driving licence, clean criminal record, and high school diploma (required).
  • A dynamic, sociable, and ambitious approach, with a strong sense of ownership and a genuine willingness to learn and develop.
  • Good command of both Greek and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, and technical teams.
