At Cablenet, we are looking for a Trunk Technician to join our technical team and help maintain the networks that keep Cyprus connected.
No previous experience is required. We provide the training, support, and development opportunities you need to grow with us.
What you will do:
- Install, maintain, and repair coaxial and fibre optic cables across our external aerial network.
- Carry out technical work at height, including climbing telecommunications poles and working from aerial platforms, following all required safety procedures.
- Perform on-site technical work and resolve network-related issues efficiently and effectively.
- Carry out inspections, identify faults, and ensure high-quality technical solutions.
- Operate and use the required tools, equipment, and aerial work platforms safely and responsibly.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate updates with relevant teams.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained in excellent working condition and keep your vehicle and work area organised.
- Participate in the scheduled rotational standby/on-call system when required.
What we are looking for:
- A valid manual driving license, clean criminal record, and high school diploma (required).
- Technical or mechanical background/ relevant qualification will be considered an advantage.
- Good physical fitness and the ability to safely handle loads of up to 25 kg.
- Willingness and ability to work outdoors, in the field, and at heights, as well as travel frequently.
- Ability to carry out work at height is an essential requirement of the role.
- Previous experience working at height and aerial platforms will be considered an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of electrical or telecommunications systems.
- Strong communication skills and a professional, responsible approach.
- A practical, problem-solving mindset and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn and develop.
- Good knowledge of Greek and a good command of English.
