Ενημερώνουμε τους συνδρομητές μας ότι από την 1η Ιουλίου 2019 ο αριθμός των καναλιών που συμπεριλαμβάνονται στο μπουκέτο Start TV θα αυξηθεί κατά 18. Στο αναβαθμισμένο μπουκέτο καναλιών Start TV θα συμπεριλαμβάνεται πλέον και το αποκλειστικό κανάλι ταινιών Cablenet1HD, καθώς και τα κανάλια Nat Geo Wild HD, Animal Planet HD, Discovery Science HD, BBC Earth, ID, Disney Channel, Disney XD, Cartoon Network HD, Boomerang HD, E! Entertainment HD, Food Network HD, TV5, TVP, ProTV International, EDGE Sport HD, CNBC και Classica HD.

Επίσης από την 1η Ιουλίου 2019 στην υπηρεσία Family TV θα προστεθούν τα κανάλια Discovery Showcase HD, National Geographic HD, FOX Sports HD, Outdoor HD και Blue Hustler.

Με τις αλλαγές αυτές, τα υφιστάμενα μπουκέτα τηλεόρασης Start TV και Family TV θα είναι πλέον αντίστοιχα με τα νέα μπουκέτα τηλεόρασης Variety TV και Variety Xtra TV.

Βάσει των συμβάσεων με τους συνδρομητές μας και τις πρόνοιες του Νόμου 112(Ι)2004 άρθρο 69, ενημερώνουμε τους συνδρομητές μας ότι από την 1η Ιουλίου 2019 η τιμή των υπηρεσιών που περιλαμβάνουν το μπουκέτο Start TV, είτε ως μέρος του πακέτου, είτε ως επιπρόσθετη υπηρεσία, αυξάνεται κατά 3€/μήνα.

Σε περίπτωση που οποιοσδήποτε συνδρομητής της Cablenet επιθυμεί να τερματίσει την υπηρεσία του λόγω των συγκεκριμένων αλλαγών, έχει το δικαίωμα να το πράξει χωρίς επιπλέον οικονομική επιβάρυνση, μέχρι την 31η Ιουλίου 2019.

Υπενθυμίζουμε επίσης τους συνδρομητές μας ότι, εάν το επιθυμούν, μπορούν να μεταφερθούν στις νέες ευέλικτες υπηρεσίες της Cablenet, αποκτώντας το πακέτο που ταιριάζει στις δικές τους ανάγκες, με γρήγορες fiberpower ταχύτητες, σταθερή και κινητή τηλεφωνία και πλούσια μπουκέτα τηλεόρασης.

After 14 years at the helm of Cablenet, Mr Nicolas Shiacolas is set to hand over the CEO position to Mr Yiannos Michaelides. Mr Shiacolas, a seasoned businessman, was instrumental in transforming Cablenet from a small cable TV company, back in 2006, to a hugely successful integrated operator, offering the fastest broadband speeds and best value-for-money bundles.
‘I am very proud of what Cablenet has achieved over the years. The experience for me has been immensely fulfilling, as Cablenet grew organisationally from a start-up to a mature company, whilst at the same time implementing state-of-the art technology to become the Internet provider of choice. In addition, what has been hugely gratifying is to have contributed actively in the positive impact Cablenet has had on the Cypriot society. After steering Cablenet this far, it is now time for me to invest more of my time on the other CNS Group family businesses,’ said Mr Shiacolas.
Yiannos Michaelides, a veteran executive with over 27 years’ international experience in successfully leading telco and media companies, is set to take over the role of CEO at Cablenet as of 15th June. He comes with a proven track record of solid performance, delivering exceptional shareholder value. Mr Michaelides’ relationship with Cablenet is long and well established. His position as CEO of GO p.l.c. in Malta, between 2012 and 2017 was instrumental in achieving the GO p.l.c. investment in Cablenet – GO today is majority shareholder in Cablenet Communication Systems PLC with a 60% stake. This experience, together with his advisory role at Cablenet over the last two years, as well as his excellent relationship and cooperation with the executive teams at both Cablenet and GO p.l.c., make him a natural successor at Cablenet and bode well for a smooth transition.
‘I am honoured to be given such an opportunity to see Cablenet through its next phases of growth and to continue bringing more value to our customers and esteemed shareholders. These are certainly exciting times for Cablenet, and I am fortunate to be able to lead a great team of people in this journey,’ said Yiannos Michaelides.
Cablenet’s network currently covers approximately 55% of households in Cyprus and offers super-fast broadband, multiple high definition TV channels and fixed telephony from a single connection. Coverage is being extended as part of a multi-year programme, which also includes ongoing improvements in systems and processes to retain the leading edge in the provision of converged telecom services in the market. During 2019 Cablenet continued to increase its broadband client base by 9.1%, bringing the total customer base today to more than 73,000 subscribers. Most recently, Cablenet purchased its own mobile spectrum allowing it to commence the operation of its own mobile network. The Company intends to leverage this transition to significantly enhance its market position in the mobile services market in the coming years, whilst at the same time reinforcing its position as a dominant broadband provider.
Mr. Shiacolas will take the role of Chairman of the Board of Cablenet and will continue to actively support the Company in its strategic direction.

Η Cablenet ενημερώνει το κοινό, με αφορμή δημοσιεύματα που κυκλοφόρησαν τις τελευταίες μέρες στα ΜΜΕ, ότι τις προηγούμενες εβδομάδες έγινε όντως προσπάθεια από τις εταιρείες Cablenet, Cyta και PrimeΤel για δημιουργία κοινού αθλητικού πακέτου στις τρεις πλατφόρμες, το οποίο θα περιλάμβανε κυρίως ποδοσφαιρικό περιεχόμενο, συμπεριλαμβανομένων και όλων των αγώνων του Κυπριακού πρωταθλήματος.

Στόχος της προσπάθειας ήταν η διευκόλυνση του κοινού, ώστε να έχει τη δυνατότητα να επιλέγει ελεύθερα τον τηλεπικοινωνιακό πάροχο που επιθυμεί και να απολαμβάνει παράλληλα όλο το αθλητικό περιεχόμενο και των τριών πλατφόρμων. Παρά την καλή θέληση των μερών, δυστυχώς δεν βρέθηκε κοινή βάση που να ικανοποιούσε όλες τις εμπλεκόμενες πλευρές για να στηριχθεί το όλο εγχείρημα. Ως εκ τούτου, δεν είναι εφικτό να ολοκληρωθεί η συγκεκριμένη συνεργασία. Επιπλέον, τα μέρη αποδέχτηκαν ότι δεν υπάρχει οποιαδήποτε δυνατότητα στο εγγύς μέλλον, να επαναληφθεί η προσπάθεια.

Υπενθυμίζουμε πως από την 1η Ιουλίου 2019 έχει τεθεί σε ισχύ η εμπορική συμφωνία ανάμεσα στην Cablenet και την PrimeTel που θα προσφέρει σε όλους τους νέους και υφιστάμενους συνδρομητές των δύο εταιρειών, αμοιβαία πρόσβαση σε όλο το αθλητικό περιεχόμενο που έχουν εξασφαλίσει.

We wish to inform our subscribers for the upcoming removal of Sundance Channel (position 105) and National Geographic HD (position 202) from our TV platform. Both channels, which are available in Variety Xtra TV and Complete TV services respectively, will be removed due to cease of operation by the content providers themselves.

Sundance channel will be removed as of September 27th, 2019 and National Geographic HD removal will take place on September 30th, 2019.

We would also like to inform you that National Geographic SD (position 204) will be upgraded to HD. The new, upgraded channel, will be available via all TV services (Variety TV, Variety Xtra TV and Complete TV).

Η Cablenet, στο πλαίσιο της ευρύτερης στρατηγικής του συνεχούς εμπλουτισμού των τηλεοπτικών της υπηρεσιών, προσφέρει αποκλειστικά στους συνδρομητές της 2 νέα μοναδικά κανάλια. Το κανάλι 7SportsTV HD, που είναι διαθέσιμο από την 1η Σεπτεμβρίου 2018, είναι ένα καινούριο αθλητικό κανάλι, το οποίο διαθέτει πλούσιο περιεχόμενο και θεματολογία από μία ευρεία γκάμα αθλητικών γεγονότων, τόσο σε τοπικό, όσο και σε διεθνές επίπεδο. Το νέο αυτό κανάλι προσφέρει αποκλειστικά στην Κύπρο το Γαλλικό Πρωτάθλημα Ligue 1 και το Γαλλικό Κύπελλο. Προσφέρει επίσης ζωντανή μετάδοση του Κυπριακού Ιπποδρόμου, καθώς και ποικίλες άλλες αθλητικές εκπομπές.
