Cablenet and its employees join forces to boost the Government’s fight against COVID-19 by €6,000!

In this battle against COVID-19, every heartfelt donation means so much! And so, following an initiative by Cablenet’semployees and the additional significant contribution by the company itself, the Government of Cyprus’s general fund was boosted by €6,000 for the purchase of personal protective equipment.

Cablenet’s employees collected an amount of €3,000 and the company, embracing their efforts, proceeded in matching that amount. Both the company’s management and executives are proud of this significant initiative,and congratulate and thank each and every individual who contributed to this noteworthy Corporate Social Responsibility activity!

In the face of these unprecedented conditions and the great effort made by all organisations, authorities and companies, Cablenet, as a mark of appreciation, respect and love, stands in active solidarity with both its Subscribers and the community that battles daily against this unprecedented situation. Cablenet continues to offer additional benefits to Cablenet Sports Package Subscribers

Following a previous announcement about the additional benefits to our residential subscribers of sports channels, and having in mind the suspension of all live sports events until the end of May 2020, Cablenet would like to inform subscribers of Connect Sports 20M, Connect Sports 60M and Connect Sports 120M packages or Cablenet Sports For All add-on package, that their account will be credited with €4.95, also for the month of May.

Our Installers are taking all necessary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 – We care about you!

Further to the protective measures announced by the Government to prevent spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and having a strong sense of responsibility as an Organisation, all of us here at Cablenet are taking the necessary measures for correct prevention in order to deal with this emergency that we are unfortunately experiencing. Our foremost priority is the safety of our employees, our Subscribers, citizens and society at large.

However, it is also our duty as Cablenet to continue to offer troubleshooting services and provide new connections, activities which are necessary to enable everyone to communicate from home. In order to minimise the risk of these activities, we have taken measures which are quite strict:

  • During service installation or troubleshooting, our Installers always take the necessary protective measures in order to ensure everyone’s safety, Customers and colleagues alike.
  • All our employees carrying out work at customer locations are equipped with the necessary personal protection equipment and have strict instructions to adhere to the recommended procedures for personal hygiene.
  • As much as possible, we avoid direct contact with surfaces, equipment or electronic devices and maintain the recommended safe distance with all people present in your space.
  • We prepare the installation equipment in advance, maintaining all the hygiene rules set by the Ministry of Health.
  • If, during installation, we notice that any person in the room where work is being carried out appears to exhibit symptoms of the virus, we follow a specific procedure set by the company in accordance with State Services’ instructions.

Cablenet announces a series of measures about Cablenet Stores and Customer Support

Having a strong sense of responsibility as an organization and further to the new measures announced by the Government in order to protect the public and prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), Cablenet actively supports the instructions given by the State Services to avoid mass gatherings of people and informs of the following:

1. All Cablenet Stores will suspend operations starting from 16/3/20 and until further notice.

2. All Cablenet stores located within Scandia and Megaelectric stores suspended operations starting from 16/3/20 and until further notice.

3. Cablenet subscribers will only be able to pay their bills electronically, specifically using one of the following methods:

·  Via the Cablenet Subscribers portal (https://www.cablenet.me), using their access code

·  Via https://pay.cablenet.me/payment for immediate settlement of bills (no access code necessary)

·  Via www.jccsmart.com, in the ‘Telephone and TV Providers’ category

·  Via their bank’s web banking

4. Suspension of residential services due to unpaid bills (March and April) will not be enforced this month. The Customer Call Center (130) as well as the Business Customer Call Center (120), will continue to operate normally and will provide any required information regarding the online payment of bills.

5. Potential customers interested in Cablenet’s residential services can apply online at www.cablenet.com.cy, by clicking ‘APPLY ONLINE’. At the same time, existing residential subscribers can make changes to their packages by calling the Customer Call Centre on 130.

6. Cablenet store staff will assist in enhancing telephone support and guiding customers in using the company’s online channels and any other tasks required.

7. The Installations Department will continue to operate normally, taking additional precautions in order to protect both our employees and Subscribers.

Cablenet is taking all the necessary measures for proper prevention in dealing with this emergency that we are experiencing. 

Our foremost priority is the safety of our employees, our subscribers, citizens and society at large. At the same time, Cablenet is also prioritizing the continued, seamless offering of communication and entertainment services to its subscribers.
